CFC Group is a family of Australian businesses in transport, mining services, machinery and property. We designed its 2024 Sustainability Report: 56 pages of road-train spreads, maps and data that bring five businesses together in one story.

The challenge

Founded by brothers Frank and Carl Cardaci, CFC Group now employs more than 3,000 people across Centurion, Cape Dunstans, CEA, Birchmead and OREZ. Its third Sustainability Report had to bring five very different businesses and a dense set of climate, safety and community disclosures into one clear report.

What we did

We designed the report as a landscape, screen-first document. Full-page spreads of Centurion road trains, taken by CFC’s own people for its employee photography competition, open the chapters, while maps, highlight panels and diagrams turn the data into pages you can take in at a glance.

Spotlight spreads

Every chapter break is a photograph by a CFC employee, run full bleed with the photographer’s name and location. The trucks, roads and skies of regional Australia carry the report.

Maps & graphics

Where the Group works, its supply chain and its climate risks, mapped in one style: navy land, teal call-outs and fine linework drawn from the triangle on the cover.

Key Highlights spread: six numbered navy panels for FY2024
Progress on our ESG Targets spread with a teal targets wheel
Overview of Business spread with the five CFC businesses and their logos
Back cover of the report: the CFC logo and cfc.com.au on a teal-blue gradient with fine triangle linework

Highlights & data

The numbers lead with the headline: six key highlights on navy panels, an ESG targets wheel built around CFC’s RIPPA values, and one page that sets out all five businesses side by side.

The result

A report that reads like CFC: proud of its people and its trucks, and clear about the Group’s path to Net Zero by 2040.

Five businesses, one story, told through the photographs of the people who drive it.
